Project Log Week 12 - Collaborative Documentation Completion

This week we finished the collaborative documentation project. On Tuesday we were given the evaluation form to complete while finishing the final submission of our documentation. Also, on Tuesday, we talked about what was left that needed done and after splitting it up, we set ourselves to the task.

Week 11 Project Log: User Testing

This week we had 2 days of user testing and received a lot of feedback. Overall, we were told that what we had was reasonably well put together. A few things that were suggested were more information on tables, more details on including images, and a few other general things regarding the kind of information in earlier sections.

After giving and receiving feedback, we each set to correcting the issues that came up. We will meet again on Tuesday to consolidate the changes and discuss any further changes that need to be made.

Week 10 Project Log - Collaborative Documentation Ready for User Testing - Wooten

This week we put a few finishing touches on each of our portions. Cody worked on uploading the file and pictures portions of the documentation, while I created the portions focused on formatting and downloading as HTML. We compiled them in class on Thursday and submitted it to dropbox.

We received some feedback on what we had so far and made a few necessary changes for user testing. Next class we will do the user testing and receive more feedback. We will then divide the work based on the feedback and make the necessary changes to end up with a finished product.

Project Log - Week 9: Continuing Documentation - Wooten

This week we decided that instead of splitting up the project we would meet up later after researching by ourselves. We are supposed to familiarize ourselves with the process as much as possible between now and meeting later.
The plan is to meet next Tuesday, and create as much of the documentation as possible. If anything is left, we will then split those portions up and finish what needs done, to have a working draft of everything by Thursday.

Project Log Week 8: Starting the Documentation - Wooten

This weeks we began the Collaborative Documentation project. I was partnered with Coy Lang and we chose to pursue writing the instructive documentation to convert print documents to HTML for use on the web.
We started by doing some research and decided to use Google Docs as the program for which to write the documentation.
In week 9, we should both be able to start splitting up the different parts of the project and start writing the documentation.

Week 7 Project Log - Technical Editing Completion - Wooten

This week Parag and I finished the technical editing project. She informed me that she put both of the edited halves together into a master copy. Because of the way track changes works, she could not just copy and paste everything in, or the changes would be lost. She went in and made changes one by one. I was very grateful for this and her part in completing the project. Just to be thorough, I made sure that everything was changed and that the way I changed the ellipses was correct. It was not.

Week 7 Project Log - Finishing with Resumes - Wooten

This week I put the finishing touches on the Resume Project across media. I finished my Prezi presentation just in time for the deadline to turn everything in. I made sure that everything was as I wanted it in all the different resumes, I submitted everything, and answered the questions given to finish up the project completely.

Next week we will be talking about other projects to be started.

On Tuesday we will submit the finished product, after we look at it one more time. Then we will start our submission notes pertaining to the project.
